Shatter Me Review

I have a curse.
I have a gift.
I’m a monster.
I’m more than human.
My touch is lethal.
My touch is power.
I am their weapon.
I will fight back.
No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal, but The Reestablishment has plans for her. Plans to use her as a weapon. But Juliette has plans of her own. After a lifetime without freedom, she’s finally discovering a strength to fight back for the very first time—and to find a future with the one boy she thought she’d lost forever.
In this electrifying debut, Tahereh Mafi presents a riveting dystopian world, a thrilling superhero story, and an unforgettable heroine.

I am giving Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi 3/5 stars.
I’ve heard so many great things about Shatter Me and the rest of the series, but I’m not sure why. I honestly found myself struggling to like Shatter Me. I mean, the story line is a great concept, but I felt completely underwhelmed by it. I know it is the first book in a series, but that doesn’t mean that all the characters need to feel one dimensional like they did to me.
Now I’m sure fans of this series want to know, do I ship Juliette with Adam or Warner. Well honestly, at this point I don’t ship Juliette with either of them. I don’t ship her with Adam, because I feel like her waited way too long to try to be with her. I don’t ship her with Warner, because I just feel like he is way to crazy to be with anyone at this point and I am just creeped out by him.
Overall, great story line, and an okay start on introducing the characters but wasn’t blown away by Shatter Me like people said I would be. I am definitely going to give the rest of the series a try, and hopefully I will have more to talk about the rest of the books, because I struggled with coming up with what I did to discuss Shatter Me.
