This Week in Reading (Dec. 7th – 13th)

Hello my bookish peeps and welcome to a new week! I hope this past week was a great week for you. I know it was for me. I gave myself a goal of reading 2 books, and I actually ended up finishing 4 books! I also received 7 books that I ordered off of Amazon which I will be doing a book haul post of later this week. Now on to this week.

For this week, I a giving myself a goal of 3 books, since I have my final exams for this semester on Wednesday. I sort of like to think of this week as my holiday reading week, as 2/3 of the books I am reading are Christmas/Holiday related.

The first book is Holiday Homecoming by Jean C. Gordon. Holiday Homecoming is part of The Donnelly Brothers series. It is about Connor Donnelly, a small town Pastor who is getting a second chance at love with Natalie Delacroix his high school sweetheart who he proposed to 5 years before, but was turned down. Will Connor find love again with Natalie as they work together on the Christmas pageant? We shall see.

The second book is My True Love Gave To Me: Twelve Holiday Stories. This is a collection of Holiday themed stories that came out last year written by some of the top names in the YA genre right now including: Holly Black, Jenny Han, David Levithan, and Rainbow Rowell. The book was edited by Stephanie Perkins who also wrote a story for the book. I remember everyone loving it last year, so I am excited to finally read it.

The final book I will be reading is Drop Shot by Harlan Coben. I actually have already started reading it. This is the second book in the Myron Bolitar series by Coben. I’ve really liked what I’ve read so far and excited to read the rest of it.

Well I hope you all have a great week. And if you’re like me and have finals this week GOOD LUCK!!
